8 Years!

I seriously do not know where the time went! We got married 8 years ago! I still feel so young (except when I have a hard time getting up off the couch...but that's pregnancy related) :)

We got to celebrate our anniversary without kids and it was so great to get away for 2 hours! Although I would have loved to have this baby by now, I have to admit that it was SO wonderful to have one last date before the 3rd child comes along and makes it more difficult to get out without kids.

We decided to try a fun Mediterranean place downtown and are glad we did! It was SO good and something new and different is just what we needed. Then we used our convertible to see the bluffs of Mankato....a rare treat since we don't usually get to ride in it together anymore. See? It's a good thing this baby hasn't come yet because we wouldn't have had this opportunity....I'm trying to see the good in an overdue baby :)

Ummm, yum!

And now the waiting continues....why is this 3rd one SO much harder to wait for?? Maybe because I just can't parent my other 2 as well? Not sure why but so hoping this baby comes soon....but in the meantime, Happy 8 years to my hubby :)

The Month of July

Baby #3's due date was last Saturday but we're still here....waiting!! It feels like he'll never come at the moment but I know it could be hours/days/at the most a week perhaps....crossing my fingers my doctor doesn't let me go much past 41 weeks! *sigh*

In the meantime, here are a few things that have happened in the last month:

Having my other 2 kids be overdue, I threw out all the rules about not traveling after a certain week in pregnancy (obviously, within reason! I can't jump on a plane to go to Hawaii although that's all I want to do!) We traveled to Northern Minnesota to see family and spend time at a family reunion! It was so worth it and I'm glad I didn't just stay at home, waiting for a baby that is indeed late!
Stopping at Aaron's parents' house before the reunion

Family Reunion: Tristen's first time fishing with his cousin, Iylah! They LOVED it and are literally obsessed with fishing now! It was such a fun memory!

Aubrey loved hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma!

It was so fun to take my kids back to a camp that I went to often as a child! Tristen couldn't stop talking about his first time "camping" (bunkbeds with air conditioning works for right now! Someday we'll actually attempt tent camping with our kids) and I think it was a highlight of our summer. I also loved seeing some of my extended family that I don't get to see often!

I was in good company with SO many pregnant cousins! One baby has been born since this picture and hopefully *cross my fingers* our baby will be born by the end of the week

Waterpark fun-we've been doing this quite a bit and our kids just love water!

Aubrey turned 2!! We dressed her up as Dorothy for the day :)

4th of July parade fun with friends

And, ready to POP!

Tomorrow marks our 8 year anniversary. Amazing. I absolutely thought we would have a baby by now so we had nothing planned until we realized this weekend that the baby is just not coming anytime soon. We might as well celebrate and have a kid-less date while we still can!

So, that's us and life as of lately....just trying to keep busy and keep my mind off the fact that I'm SO uncomfortable right now!
