And We Have Housing!!! :)

Seriously, just when we thought things couldn't get any better, they have! This week we bought a house! Woah! I know...a little different plans that we thought but we looked into renting and it costs an arm and a leg in this crazy college town so buying was a much better investment! :) So, we found an ADORABLE two story home for our growing family and will move in probably the last week of June!

We see it as such a God-thing in that the house came on the market a month ago and was really exactly what we were looking for and all the pieces just FELL into place!! :) So, now it's just waiting until the end of June for closing and praying that everything keeps falling into place :)

Once I can get a good pic of it, I will post it!

How We Told Our Families....

Aaron and I like to be creative so we tried to be creative when we announced our pregnancy! Here's a few pics with the stories of how we told our families:

My Parents:
This story starts 6 years ago when Aaron and I started dating! (Woah! Has it been that long?) I used to like the book "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" but when I started dating Aaron, my dad cleverly created a book cover and wrapped it up for Christmas that said, "I Kissed Dating Hello!" SO, I had planned this one for years...I made a book cover that said, "I Kissed Grandparenting Hello" with their picture on it. They were soooo surprised!!!! :)

Aaron's Parents
:
We had to be kind of creative with Aaron's parents because we live with them and wanted it to be special! We decided to take them out for coffee (which they LOVE) but once we got to the coffee shop, we said we brought our own mugs. As we sat down, we pulled out baby bottles that said, "Grandparenting Round Two" since they had JUST got an announcement two months prior from Aaron's sister :) Their faces said it all....two grandkids in two months time?

My Brother and Sister-in-Law
:
If you know my brother and sister-in-law, you know that they LOVE guitars. I was trying to think of something that would have a guitar on it and finally came across the saying "My aunt and uncle ROCK!" on some baby site. So, I made a onesie with a guitar and put the saying on it. Monica screamed and jumped up and down when she read it.....it was PRICELESS :)

Aaron's Brother
:
Nate is a clean, tidy guy. We love it when he comes home because he always leaves our house better than when he came. Since we wouldn't see him for a few weeks, we mailed him a pack of diaper bags with a card that said, "We're going to need your help pretty soon!" Although he thought he was getting a DVD in the mail and it turned out to be diaper bags, we think he liked our creativity :)

Aaron's Sister and Brother-in-Law:

Although this one may have been the cheesiest one, it was certainly fun to make!! Since Matt and Lindsay are having a baby a mere two months before us, I made a onesie that said, "Bee my cousin" with a bee on it....I know, super cheesie but hey, it was cute! :) I wish I could have seen their reaction because I heard it took them just a few minutes to completely figure out who would be their baby's cousin :) Ha :) But, after they found our card that said, "We're having a baby!" I don't think there was any confusion!

Goodbye Party and LOST Finale

What a weekend!! We had a farewell party on Saturday night for some dear friends in our small group and a LOST finale party on Sunday! We played a little Taboo...and a great game of Telephone Pictionary

We will miss you Pat and Elsa! :(

LOVE these girls! They are so great :)

And now to the......LOST FINALE!!!

Grant and Jen are so creative and had DHARMA signs everywhere!

LOST is done! About that....I was going to write a blog JUST about LOST but decided not enough people that I know are die-hard fans so I'll keep it to myself! BUT, just a few thoughts...I loved the finale until the last 10 minutes....well, pretty much when the big reveal that the Sideways World was actually an afterlife?? Hmm, not cool as I thought for sure that they were all going to die on the island and thus, "reset" their lives off island due to the hydrogen bomb....which to me would have been a great ending

So, I was disappointed when my least fave character, Christian, announced that Season 6 was like a "Sixth Sense". I did NOT like the Sixth Sense so I'm just trying to forget that part and remember the very last scene....Jack's eye closing in the bamboo field.....seriously, BRILLIANT! Why didn't I see that one coming? I loved the very last shot and thought it was a good closure to the show. So, that's my shortened version of my thoughts....I'm still standing behind LOST but I wish they had left out the whole "afterlife part" and thought of something more brilliant for the Sideways world. Anyways, it's over and I can't wait to buy the DVD (which they claim has more answers....I wonder if they left them out on purpose for better DVD sales? Oh well, I'm falling for it!)

The "Update to Come"

Since yesterday's big announcement was so hurried I thought I would give that "update to come" now! :) Just in case you're wondering the details of our pregnancy so far, here they are!

I wasn't sick a BIT for the first week that I found out! I assumed something was going to go wrong because I felt way too great to be pregnant! However, once week 6 hit, the morning sickness came but I've been able to endure through it and I have some GREAT stories of having to stop along side of the road to throw up as I'm headed to work! :) HA!

We got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat last week at our first appointment and it was incredible! I see now why people want to talk about their baby so much during pregnancy! It is such a miracle and I'm so excited to hear more about how he/she is growing!!

Ummm...what else would you want to know...I don't look pregnant at all but feel very pregnant :) I thought being so short would make me look huge at three months but I think I will be wrong :)

Ooohhh, one last thing is that we think it's hilarious that we're having a Christmas baby because we always said how we felt so bad for people who had birthdays around Christmas and that we were never going to do that to our kids...WELL...our baby will have a birthday around Christmas unless he/she comes really early or late but now I'm SOOOO excited for a December baby....just so he/she is healthy, I don't care what the date is :)

It's TRUE this time!!!! :) :)

We're not kidding this time....

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh!!! :) Baby Willey will be here on or around December 21st (Christmas baby!!)
We are soooo stinkin' excited to say the least :) I'm about 10 weeks along and would LOVE any prayer for this little babe (and, selfishly for me as I've been sick!) More updates to come....

A Semester Gone

This semester is over. I'm not the one that went back to school but it still shocks me that a semester could go SO fast. So much has happened in these last four months and I have found it crucial to lean not on my own strength but on Christ alone.

I can't remember what it's like to own a house. I can't remember what it's like to not live by family. I can't remember what my stuff looks like and I really can't remember what I got for Christmas this year since it all went into storage! Now I can look at pictures of my old house without tears and finally don't have an urge to paint anything (I LOVE to paint which is hard when you don't have a house!)

God has been sooooo good to us! We had no idea if Aaron would like his classes but we took a leap of faith and took things step by step. Aaron did SO well in his classes this semester and absolutely loves all of his science classes. He can't wait to dig deeper and learn more about science and becoming a nurse.

God provided jobs for us and has just absolutely taken care of us this semester. I am still in awe at how He has brought things together in His perfect timing. We're still waiting for housing but we are in no rush as we just continually wait upon God. So, if you were wondering how this semester has been, it has been so good to wait upon the Lord. We are incredibly encouraged and can't wait to see what our future holds (Orphanage in Africa? Mission work? Youth work? Those are only a few things we'd like to do in the future)!

One semester gone.....hmmm, alot more to go :)
