For those who aren't on facebook....here are a few pics of Tristen that his Auntie Lindsay took :)

2 Month Stats
This little boy is 2 months old TODAY! How can this be? Today we visited the doctor. I really like our pediatrician! He was recommended to us by a friend and I'm SO glad I picked him....very knowledgable but personable and extremely laid back. I asked him when kids start to get hard (since Tristen just chills all day long and sleeps a whoppin' 7-8 hours straight now!) and he said, "Well, I heard teenagers are pretty hard so you have 13 years of easiness!" Don't worry, it was followed by a laugh and an assurance that Tristen will give us challenges in the coming days.
He's getting so big! Lately I've loved seeing him smile more and more (especially when I walk in the room) and I love hearing him use his vocal chords! What a sweet, sweet boy. Even though yesterday's post was a bit of a downer, I really wouldn't trade this time in my life with Tristen for anything.....I am loving being a mom :) Every week he gets more and more fun :) Happy Tuesday all and Happy 2 months to Tristen!
Anyways....here are the stats of the day:
Weight: 12 pounds!
Wowzers! No wonder he's growing out of clothes left and right! He doesn't feel that heavy though :) (74th percentile)
Height: 23 inches (55th percentile)
Head: 15 1/2 (37th percentile)

Cousins!
We had some good, quality cousin time this weekend :) Too bad they won't remember it! We were debating about which baby is bigger....even though Evie is two months older, she's a petite little thing and I think it's just a matter of time before Tristen surpasses her! That's my boy :)
I can't wait to see Tristen interact with his cousins. Evie is the only one so far (but perhaps he'll have more in the future? Maybe someday!) and I can't wait to see them possibly be friends! So, so fun :)
We've actually had quite the interesting few weeks. I'm starting to feel as though we will always be waiting for things to work out and it drives my sometimes anxious heart crazy. One of the biggest things we're waiting for is to see if Aaron is accepted into the Nursing Program at MSU. He's been taking all the prerequisites until this time (since he didn't have the required science classes from his time at NWC), his GPA is awesome, the application is in, and the wait continues until the end of March. Ugh. It's so hard to wait especially when there is nothing we can do about it. And, when so much rests upon whether he gets accepted or not.
We have always adapted to living off of one paycheck (in preparation for when I would stay at home with kids) but we had my paycheck for the savings, fun, etc. Even though we didn't rely on it, it is still hard to not have that 'extra" money lying around just in case we needed it. I tend to worry about money but God has always provided for our needs....even in our first year of marriage when we had NO money! I still don't know how we got through that first year financially!
It's hard to not worry about what will happen tomorrow, a month from now, and in the next year. But, during one of my many moments of worry in the last month, I opened my prayer journal to a random page and the verse I had written down at one time in my life was Matthew 6:19-34. If you want to be reminded to not worry, open up your Bible and read this passage. So, so good.
So, we're in another period of waiting in our journey. And, honestly, it's so not fun. But, it will end soon and I'm sure I'll learn from it like I have done in every other waiting period....I'll keep you all updated and in the meantime, I'll try to take things day by day.

Nursery
I'm back :) It's snowing like mad outside, Tristen's taking his nap, Aaron's shoveling all the snow, and Sadie's sleeping so I decided to take some time to update my blog. I thought I was getting sick of winter but I secretly like looking at all this new snow fall. It really is pretty :) However, in the same breath, I loved the warm weather last week (Side note: Isn't it funny that "warm" is 35 degrees? Aaron and I went without coats when it was 35-40 degrees outside...I guess we were born to live in this frigid weather! End side note)
So, one thing that I did during my spare time was I finally got Tristen's nursery completely decorated! I finally made the mobile and put the finishing touches on it. And, here are the pics along with the explanations of the projects:

Changing table area!
Projects included:
1) Bulletin board covered with fabric that will be a picture collage area. Right now it's covered with his ultrasound pics but will be updated soon!
2) Changing pad covers! I sewed up a few from scrap blue fabric
Oh, and yes, those are cloth diapers. That will be a post in and of itself but we have started cloth diapers and so far, so good!

Projects included:
The blue knitted boots sitting on the shelf

Projects:
1) His name! Made out of chip board scrapbooking letters from Hobby Lobby covered with scrapbooking paper. It's a little hard to see the lighter colored letters :) You'll just have to come to our house if you want to see it better!
2) Rocking horse built by my cool, talented hubby
Projects:
1) Crib quilt and skirt made by my mother-in-law. I can't take any credit :) I picked out the colors and pattern....but that's about all the credit I can take :)
2) Mobile! Made out of an embroidery circle, ribbon, and scrap fabric from the quilt. It may not last too long (when he starts batting at it!) but he LOVES looking at it right now which makes me happy :)
So, if you were wondering what Tristen's nursery looks like, there you have it :) There are also shelves and a dresser in his room but they are kind of boring so no pics :) I seriously love projects! What am I working on this week? THE wedding scrapbook...yeah, you know which one I'm talking about. It's half done and I think 3-4 days of hardcore scrapbooking while Tristen sleeps and it may be done. :) But, my son comes first so we'll see what his week looks like and go from there! Anywho....that's my update!

Raina
And, it's a girl! Kelly, the last one in our small group pregnant, had her little girl yesterday! Raina is a cutie and has a full head of blonde hair! She's a doll!!!
So, onto a different note....to give you a heads up, you may not hear from me for a few weeks or so. I just don't feel like writing and really need a break from the online world. So, this isn't a "break up" with the online world....just a break....we need our space for a little while :)
But, I'm not going to put a time limit on it because you never know how your feelings will turn....but for the time being, don't expect me for a few weeks. I'm sure I'll have plenty to blog about when I return and plenty of pictures of Tristen :) But, until then, adios for a while!
