A Gift:
We've tried to teach our children the importance of waiting for things. Delayed gratification....it needs to be taught in our world of instant gratification.
So when last summer, Tristen asked and asked for this specific zoo book because his cousin had it, we gently told him "no" and that was that.
We decided to get each child a book for Valentine's Day. We surprised Tristen with the Zoo book and the look on his face was priceless :)
"It's just like the one Iylah has!!! It's the Zoo book!!"
He's looked at the book every day since....I think the waiting was worth it. :)
